Art Nouveau blackened steel club fender by Thomas Hadden, Edinburgh, late 19th century. With two L shaped seat pads in green leather, on scrolling stylised floral supports with open twisted knop centres.

Property from an Edinburgh estate; Purchased in these rooms 30 June, 2004, lot 323. Thomas Hadden was a Scottish ironsmith producing ornamental ironwork and wrought iron, particularly for the Arts & Crafts architect Robert Lorimer. His work was exhibited in the Arts & Crafts Society Exhibition in London in 1910.
